I've always loved the paintings of Thomas Kinkade. They just have a way of warming my soul, and giving me a since of well-being from head to toe.
Thomas was known as the "Painter of Light", mostly because of the glow his paintings seem to emit. Art critics would say this was from the effect of the pastel colors and glowing highlights he used, but I genuinely believe it was much more than this. I believe that when Thomas Kinkade held a paintbrush in his hand, he became the brush, and God was the "Artist". Allowing them to make wonderful art together. Art that touches hearts and minds all over this great planet of ours, and will for many years to come.
The wonderful thing is, we all have the same choice Thomas Kinkade did. Sure, we may be a different kind of "brush”, or be painting on a different type of "canvas". But I am certain, that we all have unique talents and skills that can be used mightily by the "Greatest Artist Ever Known", God Himself.
Yes, we too can become "Painters of Light"...
And we can do so, by choosing to become “God’s Paintbrush” in every area of our life. The great thing about this is, even if everyone from past, present, and future all decided to become a "Paintbrush for God", there would never be two paintings alike.
Why?
Because, we all have our own unique personalities, abilities, strengths, and talents. Giving God a whole plethora of "paintbrushes" to work with. A plethora of “paintbrushes” known as "The Body of Christ".
Which is exactly what our Heavenly Father uses to fill this "Great Big Canvas" called life.
The "Masterpiece" He creates with us is known as “The Glory of God”!
If you would like to become a "Painter of Light" in every area of your life, starting today. Just accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior right now!
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
And second, surrender your whole heart to Him. Giving Him complete and total control over every area of your life...
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
