Pure Motives: How to Change the World

Updated: Aug 7

At the very core of our being is our heart. Not the one that pumps blood through our veins, but the one that controls everything we do.

We all have an unconscious motive for every action we take, and it springs from the heart.

For something to become a part of our heart, we must first believe or valued it. Another way of saying this is, our spiritual heart is the collecting place for our most cherished values and strongest beliefs.

Therefore, God's Word tells us to keep our heart with all diligence, because out of it comes the issues of life!

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)

Once these values and beliefs are stored in our heart, they form an image inside of us called our self-image. Every family, group, school, church, community, city, state, country, and planet are made up of the collective self-image of all the people within them.

This is what people mean when they say the world has a heart problem. They are saying, we have a collective value and belief problem.

Therefore, if we want to change the world into a better place to live, the best place to start is with our own heart. By first changing our own heart, we will eventually change the collective heart of our family, group, church, community, city, state, country, and world!

Our self-image is kind of like a virus. It will spread to those we spend the most time with. And if not stopped, it will eventually spread worldwide in a comparable way as a pandemic.

This is exactly what has happened in our world today, only for the worst. We have put the wrong image in our hearts, and it has spread like wildfire throughout the entire world.

So, how can we correct this?

Well, I believe we can correct this by starting a new pandemic. Only this time we will spread the Truth, and it will make us free...

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:32 (KJV)

And we do this, by exchanging the image we have of ourselves in our hearts, with God’s perfect image of us.

So, as we can see, it never has been a matter of change, but of exchange.

How can we know what is in God's heart, so we can begin to live by His image instead of our own?

Well thankfully He left us His diary, the Holy Bible. Which was written from the abundance of His Heart.

"for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

Matthew 12:34 (KJV)

So, it’s quite simple.

We start spending more time with our Heavenly Father, by reading and studying the Holy Bible.

We can also get to know him by communing with Him through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with the power of the Holy Spirit.

His Love and Truth will then begin to rub off on us kind of like virus. Meaning, we will begin expressing God thoughts and ways through our soul, instead of expressing our own self-centered thoughts and ways.

And I believe by doing this, we can start a new pandemic on earth, one of Truth and Love.

Allowing us to start changing our world for the better, one heart at a time!
