In the previous story by the name of Fuzzy Worms, we found out we are all worms, not because of something we did wrong, but because of our family tree. In that story as well as this one, worms represent sinners. A sinner is anyone who is separated from God, and unfortunately, we are all born separated from God. Therefore, we were all born as sinners!
However, there is an exception to this rule. In the beginning Adam and Eve had full access to our Heavenly Father. Whom I will be referring to as the Big Butterfly in the sky for the sake of this story. Adam and Eve only became worms after using their free will to commit an act of disobedience against God. By eating from the tree He forbade them to eat from.
An act of disobedience, causing Sin to enter the first two Beautiful Butterflies. Therefore, turning them into sinners, or fuzzy little worms in this illustration. Not only did this separate Adam and Eve from God, but also separated all their future descendants as well, which is all of us! Because of this act of disobedience, we are all born as fuzzy little worms and must be reborn to become a Beautiful Butterfly!
In the lesson on fuzzy worms, we learned of the perfect redemption plan God put in place to save us from going to fuzzy worm Hell. This plan allows us to use the same free will, that Adam and Eve used to inadvertently turn us into worms. And here is what God did to rectify this situation. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to earth in the form of a worm.
Jesus then sacrificed Himself for all of worm-kind, by shedding His blood and dying on a Cross from crucifixion! So that now, any worm who believes on Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, shall not perish, but have everlasting Butterfly life! Thus, giving all worms the freedom to purposely choose to become a Beautiful Butterfly, by reconnecting to our Big Butterfly Father in the Sky, more commonly know as our Heavenly Father, or God!
I will now explain what each step in God’s Perfect Redemption Plan means for each of us. The first thing we need to understand is, just like the butterfly had to cease to exist so that Adam and Eve could become worms. The worm in us must also cease to exist in order for us to become Beautiful Butterflies. The Butterfly stands for a Divine Righteous Nature, the kind Adam and Eve had before they disobeyed God. And the worm stands for our sinful nature, the kind we inherited from Adam and Eve, after their act of disobedience.
As we learned earlier, for worm-kind to be redeemed, a Perfect Worm would need to be sacrificed! And once sacrificed, everyone who receives this Perfect Worm as their Lord and Savior, will be transformed into the Beautiful Butterfly they were always meant to be!
However, there was one problem, there was no Perfect Worms on Earth. So, God Himself came to Earth in the form of a worm, so He could save us from our sinful worm nature. And He did this over two thousand years ago, by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to Earth (God's Word in the flesh) to save us.
I will now explain in more detail the process that Jesus went through to save us from sin. And I will do so, by explaining what each step of His sacrifice represented to us. So, we will start with His arrest! Once Jesus was arrested for a crime He did not commit, He was then falsely charged guilty. Next, He was physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually tortured. Every part of His being was under attack.
The Blood He shed throughout this torture was to forgive the sins of worm-kind. Past, present, and future! Then they nailed Jesus to the Cross and Crucified Him! And when Jesus died on that Cross, it stood for the death of the worm in all of us. Jesus was dead, but so was the worm of sin! And this is why Jesus said right before His last earthly breath on the Cross, “it is finished”!
Jesus was then removed from the cross and buried in a tomb. However, three days later He rose again! Only this time, He was the Most Beautiful Butterfly ever seen! And because of His great sacrifice, every worm can now choose to be transformed into the Beautiful Butterfly they were always meant to be. Hallelujah!
Jesus was later seen by many, while He was still on earth after becoming a Beautiful Butterfly! And after forty days of fluttering around on earth, Jesus ascended into Heaven as a crowd of onlookers watched Him disappear into the clouds. And once Jesus was seated at the Right Hand of our Heavenly Father, the Third Person of the Trinity of God, known as the Holy Spirit, was sent to earth in the Name of Jesus Christ!
So now, anyone who chooses Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, will at once transform into the Beautiful Butterfly they were always meant to be! And will remain one forever...Amen!
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever."
Psalms 23:6 (KJV)
